## Build your own extension

Create extensions right inside Lens, and publish them for everyone.

### Describe it, and your AI tool builds it

Lens sets up the project and opens it in your AI tool, such as Claude Code. Describe the extension you want, and the AI tool builds it for you. The extension shows up in Lens right away, and every change appears as soon as it is built, with no restart.

### Publish it to the Marketplace

Publish your extension to npm with the lens-extension keyword and it appears here and in the Marketplace inside Lens within minutes, where anyone can find it by name, publisher or keyword and install it with a click.
